Amid everything else required to move across the country, leave my job of 14 years, find a new job in a new city, parent a rambunctious toddler while my co-parent is already 1,800 miles away, my adoring public wants me to start and maintain a blog so they can keep up with me - or rather, so they can keep tabs on the aforementioned toddler. I am apparently allowed to throw in a few details of my mundane life along the way as long as they can read about the exciting escapades of the toddler.
Heard from C this a.m. that he found the Enfield Harvest Fest and got himself a Chicken BBQ plate to go. You should know that Chicken BBQ is practically a religion in Central/Upstate NY and it is nothing like Texas BBQ - tomato was never in the same zip code as this BBQ sauce. This culinary delight was created by the late Robert Baker, aka the Thomas Edison of Poultry, and real creator of the chicken nugget. You can find the recipe here as well as a pdf of Baker's original publication which gives instructions for building the appropriate cooking apparatus and calculations of the quantity of ingredients required for sides to serve large crowds.
