Randomly linking from one thing toanother today I discovered this entry at Uncle Bob's Diary O' Chuckles. It won a Diarest.net award for Best Comedic Entry last quarter. You should read it.

LJC's latest entry contains a recipe for baked apples in the crockpot and it sounds delish. Since it has intermittently started to get cooler here, I've become the office Soup Nazi by making one or two pots of soup each week for my office mates after I discovered a former employees abandoned crock pot in one of our kitchen cupboards. I guess I'm not really the Soup Nazi, because anybody can help themselves to some soup. I guess the soup thing at work started as a boycotting response to the new soup policy at the building cafeteria. They have begun to only serve one scoop of soup, instead of filling the container, and continue to charge the same price. Preposterous! Ironically, I won the Halloween pumpkin carving contest that the cafeteria sponsored!



So far we've had Spicey Pumpkin Soup, Italian Wedding Soup, and Creamy Roasted Tomato Soup and tomorrow we're going to have Senate Navy Bean Soup - I hear it's good with corn bread, maybe somebody will bring us some to have with our soup?
