Mmmmm, cider and donuts! We drove out to Virgil this afternoon to get fresh cider, donuts, horseradish cheese and a fresh pecan pie from Hollenbeck's Cider Mill. It's just a few miles away from our house and everything was delicious - well, we haven't tried the pie yet, but expectations are high. They offer about eight or ten different kinds of pie, so we may have to go back for more soon. The Hollenbeck family has been pressing cider for 75 years. They also had fudge, lots of different cheeses, local honey, maple syrup, sauces and jellies. Everything looked great so it was hard to choose what to bring home. If you're going, they're open from 9:00 - 8:00 p.m.
